Dan Agnew
Many of your fellow students become personally involved in a community, social, or educational endeavor off campus, which strengthens their college experience. I hope you will be part of this movement.
As mayor, I want to congratulate you on your admission and welcome you to ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ¹ÙÍø and . These next four years are going to be an exciting time and will reflect positively on you for life.
With world-renowned ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ¹ÙÍø located adjacent to the downtown business district, the town of ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ¹ÙÍø is a place with diverse views and interests. Our community may be much smaller than what you are accustomed to, but we are a robust community constantly evolving to stay abreast of the times and increasing possibilities — probably not what you expect from a town in the central Midwestern United States.
We are a dynamic city with a strong heritage, but with all the modern technological advances and opportunities with which you may be familiar. In addition to our quality hospital and outstanding medical professionals, our town comes together at the aquatic center, athletic facilities, parks, golf course, bike trails, library, farmers market, and beyond.
Many of your fellow students become personally involved in a community, social, or educational endeavor off campus, which strengthens their college experience. I hope you will be part of this movement, as well. We find it very rewarding to have your enthusiasm and perspective on what we need to consider as we navigate this century together. Your involvement will give you pride of ownership in our progress and tie you to ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ¹ÙÍø forever, a fact that makes me and our citizens proud.
Sincerely,
Dan F. Agnew
Mayor
